| News Release No. 06/2005 Vancouver, BC, April 6, 2005 - Copper Ridge Explorations Inc. ("Copper Ridge") is pleased to provide a project update and plans for the upcoming field season. The Company's key activities will include drilling at its Lucky Joe and Yukon Olympic copper-gold targets, while exploration programs to define drill targets are planned at several other Yukon properties. The Company is also examining a number of new acquisition opportunities, from Alaska to Mexico. Lucky Joe: A Phase 1 drill program is planned for June, 2005 on this large, porphyry style copper-gold target near Dawson City, Yukon.. The program will be funded by Kennecott Canada Exploration Ltd. and operated by Copper Ridge. Kennecott has indicated that it will consider a Phase 2 drill program in the 2005 season based upon encouraging results from Phase 1. Yukon Olympic: The target is an Olympic Dam-style Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG) deposit. Drilling of a strong gravity anomaly coincident with a magnetic anomaly is expected to take place in July, 2005, subject to the Company's partner, Janina Resources Ltd., completing its IPO. Scheelite Dome: Recent drill results from this100% owned gold property in central Yukon include 6.4 m @ 7.09 gpt gold and 1.7 m @ 24.4 gpt gold from the Tom Zone, one of several targets within a 10 km long gold soil anomaly. The geological setting is similar to that of the Teck Cominco/Sumitomo Pogo gold deposit in Alaska. The Company is considering a program of additional geophysics, followed by drilling. Kalzas: Tungsten prices have increased almost three-fold in the past 15 months. Copper Ridge is considering a drill program on its high grade Kalzas tungsten project near Mayo, Yukon. Other Yukon: Surface exploration programs are planned on the Shamrock and Thistle copper-gold projects, adjacent to Lucky Joe, while additional gravity surveys will be conducted on the Hart River copper-gold IOCG target. Please see the Company's web site - www.copper-ridge.com - for more detailed information. New Opportunities: The Company continues to evaluate new exploration opportunities, focusing on gold and copper-gold projects in the Cordillera of western North America. The Company expects to add one or two new projects to its portfolio over the next few months. Copper Ridge has been highly successful in securing eleven large-scale, early-stage gold and copper properties in the Yukon, Alaska, B.C. and Mexico, four of which are under option to mineral exploration companies. This strategy enables Copper Ridge to minimize risk and financial exposure while maximizing the chances for exploration success and freeing up resources to seek out prime new acquisitions. Copper Ridge is well financed and anticipates an active field season in 2005. For further information contact: Gerald G. Carlson, President & CEO Copper Ridge Explorations Inc.
