Copper Ridge Exploration Update Drilling Commences At Lucky Joe

 Copper Ridge KRX-TSX.V
No. 10/2006

Vancouver, BC, September 13, 2006 -- Copper Ridge Explorations Inc. ("Copper Ridge" or the "Company") announces that a minimum 2,000 m core drilling program has commenced at its 100% owned Lucky Joe copper-gold project, located 40 km south of Dawson City, Yukon. The drill program will include five holes on the Bear Cub anomaly, followed by an additional five holes on the Ryan's Creek anomaly. The Bear Cub anomaly is defined by an 11.3 km long trend of elevated copper and gold soil geochemical values. The parallel Ryan's trend anomaly, 4 km to the east, is defined by a 7.2 km trend of similar copper values but stronger gold soil geochemical values.

In both cases, the drilling will target the strongest copper-gold soil geochemical values where they are supported by favourable geology and IP chargeability anomalies that indicate underlying metallic mineralization. The Company had earlier completed approximately 18 km of line grid on the Bear Cub and Ryan's Creek anomaly areas. The grid was covered by soil sampling, and magnetometer and Induced polarization geophysical ("IP") surveying. There is good correlation between the IP chargeability, possibly indicating metallic mineralization in bedrock, and anomalous copper and gold soil geochemical values on both grids. The Company has planned five high priority drill holes on each of the grids.

Scheelite Dome Gold: The 100% owned Scheelite Dome gold project is road accessible, 25 km northwest of Mayo, Yukon. A road has been built to the newly defined Toby anomaly. A total of 1,430 m of mechanical trenching has been completed in 8 trenches. The trenches uncovered broad areas of silicification and quartz veining with arsenopyrite and pyrite mineralization that correlates with the previously defined gold-arsenic-antimony-bismuth soil geochemical anomaly and an IP chargeability anomaly. Assay results from rock sampling in the trenches will be reported as soon as they are received.

J. Greg Dawson, P.Geo. and VP Exploration for Copper Ridge, is the Qualified Person for the above projects.

Copper Ridge's exploration philosophy focuses on maximizing the potential for success in a high-risk business. With grass roots mineral exploration, where the entry cost is low but the potential reward can be very high, success will be contingent on exploration skill and on carefully managed risk. Our management team brings tenacity, technical skill and experience, all crucial ingredients for discovery. By exploring a broad array of projects, focusing on the right commodities, in areas of high mineral potential and in mining-friendly jurisdictions, Copper Ridge is reducing the exploration risks for its shareholders and exposing them to a greater chance for discovery. Copper Ridge is well financed and is enjoying a busy field season on its Yukon and British Columbia properties.
