Initial Drill Results Lucky Joe Cu-Au Project

 COPPER RIDGE (KRX-TSX.V)
PRESS RELEASE No. 21/2007

Vancouver, BC, August 31, 2007 -- Copper Ridge Explorations Inc. ("Copper Ridge" or the "Company") announces initial drill results from its 100% owned Lucky Joe project, located 40 km south of Dawson City, Yukon Territory. The target at Lucky Joe is a metamorphosed porphyry deposit or possibly a variety of IOCG (iron oxide copper-gold) deposit as defined by two large copper-gold soil geochemical anomalies and coincident geophysics. The drill program included 2400 m in 13 holes that targeted the Ryan's Creek anomaly, southwest of the main Lucky Joe deposit.

The Ryan's Creek trend extends for over 4,500 m in strike length and is defined by a strong copper-gold anomaly in soils that is coincident with an IP chargeability anomaly along the eastern edge of a linear magnetic anomaly. Results have been received for holes LJ07-11 through 14, 17 and 18. All holes encountered extensive pyrite mineralization that occurs both disseminated and as massive to semi massive blebs throughout the host quartz - biotite - chlorite schist. Copper mineralization was observed locally occurring as malachite near the upper sections and as disseminated chalcopyrite at depth. To date, only hole LJ07-18 has reported significant copper-gold mineralization, with an 8.1 m interval averaging 0.22% Cu and 0.19 gpt Au from 54.2 to 62.3 m within 28.0 m that averaged 0.146% Cu and 0.099 gpt Au from 35.7 to 63.7 m.

Results of the remaining 7 holes will be reported as soon as they have been received. Drilling was carried out by Prospector Drilling of Ste. Rose Du Lac, Manitoba and assays were completed by Eco Tech Laboratories of Kamloops, British Columbia

Mr. J. Greg Dawson, P.Geo., Vice President of Exploration for Copper Ridge, supervised the drill program, is the Qualified Person for the Lucky Joe project and is responsible for the technical content of this news release.

Copper Ridge's exploration philosophy focuses on maximizing the potential for success in a high-risk business. With grass roots mineral exploration, where the entry cost is low but the potential reward can be very high, success will be contingent on exploration skill and on carefully managed risk. Our management team brings tenacity, technical skill and experience, all crucial ingredients for discovery. By exploring a broad array of projects, focusing on the right commodities, in areas of high mineral potential, in mining-friendly jurisdictions and by sharing the risks on some projects with joint venture partners, Copper Ridge is exposing its shareholders to a greater chance for discovery. The Company is well financed for the 2007 field program on its Yukon and British Columbia properties.
