Diamond Drilling Completed at the Quitovac Gold Property, Mexico Results of First Six Holes Received

 Press Release No. 15/2004

Vancouver, BC, June 11, 2004. Copper Ridge Explorations Inc. (the "Company") is pleased to report the completion of a 13 hole, 1,134 m drilling program at its Quitovac Project in Sonora State, Mexico. The purpose of the program was to provide confirmation of reverse circulation drill results by previous operators as well as to test for continuation and extension of the mineralized zones.

Previous operators Santa Cruz and Peñoles defined broad areas of lower grade gold mineralization within an east-west trending gently north dipping shear zone. Within this structure are high grade gold zones of quartz veins and stringers that appear to have a steep orientation. Copper Ridge is earning up to a 75% interest in the Quitovac Project from Castle Rock Resources Inc.

Due to the strongly faulted and fractured nature of the rock at Quitovac, drilling conditions were very difficult and the 1,134 m program took 54 days to complete. Despite the best efforts of the drillers, core recovery was locally very poor, especially in the more strongly faulted areas. Despite the poor recovery, the drilling was successful in confirming the presence of the mineralized structures defined by the previous operators. Because of the poor recovery, however, exact correlation with the mineralized widths was difficult.

Copper Ridge has now received the results of the first 6 drill holes. Drill Holes QDD-01, QDD-02, QDD-05 and QDD-06 were twins of previous holes while QDD-01 was a vertical hole drilled to intersect the high grade intersection in Santa Cruz's hole Q-16. Hole QDD-04 was drilled to test a previously undrilled area between two mineralized zones. All visibly mineralized and quartz vein material was sent directly for screened metallic fire assay. All other samples were analyzed by 50 gram fire assay with an atomic absorption finish. A summary table of the results is shown on the following page. Complete results and a map showing all hole locations will be posted on Copper Ridge's web page as soon as final results are in (www.copper-ridge.com).

The core drilling confirmed the presence of gold mineralization in the structures, with values locally up to 20 g/t Au. In several intersections, however, the core drilling returned values of gold significantly less than the reverse circulation drilling of the same section. The Company has initiated a study to determine the cause of this discrepancy. Some possibilities are poor core recovery, the washing out of oxide hosted gold by the core drilling process and "nugget" effect where large flakes of gold cause erratic gold values.

Drilling on the Quitovac Project was performed by Boytec Sondajes de Mexico, geological contracting was carried out by JRM Consultores of Hermosillo and analytical work is being done by ALS Chemex. The project is being supervised by J. Greg Dawson P.Geo, the Company's Qualified Person.

Copper Ridge has been highly successful in securing eleven large-scale, early-stage gold and copper properties in the Yukon, Alaska and Mexico - three of which are under option to mining and mineral exploration companies including Kennecott Canada. This strategy enables Copper Ridge to minimize risk and financial exposure while maximizing the chances for exploration success and freeing up resources to seek out prime new acquisitions. Copper Ridge is well financed and anticipates another busy field season on its Northern properties as well as in Mexico.
